Facilities
It has always been our policy to reinvest so we can offer you the best support in diesel engineering.
Quality
Quality is paramount to the diesel engineering service we provide and as such we prioritised an accredited ISO9001 system which we have maintained and held since 1997.
To support the in-house quality standards we have our own equipment including:
- FARO FO4CMM measuring arm which allows us to measure up to 5 microns.
- Water test facilities
- 2 governor test rigs
- Injector test equipment
- Test gauges
Manufacturing
One of our specialist areas is providing sustainability for our clients, for diesel engines still in regular use, that are no longer supported by the original manufacturer due to their age.
Replacing these older diesel engines can be a real challenge considering accessibility, performance differences as well as surrounding equipment, and is rarely a recommended option.
As an alternative we have invested in our own in-house diesel engineering design and manufacturing team who use CAD systems linked to our own CNC machines alongside approved sub-contractors (most of who were involved in the original production of these parts).
This gives us increased versatility to be able to provide you with solutions.
The in-house equipment we have include:
- Haas SL10 CNC Lathe
- Haas Servobar 3000 bar feeder
- Haas TL2 CNC Lathe
- Haas Vertical Mill
- Silkmead CNC Pipe Bender
- Various drills, grinders and other
Overhauling
To ensure accuracy and efficiency when overhauling your equipment, Bartech Marine has the following equipment in-house:
- Rottler VR7 valve grinder
- Rossi & Kramer Valve seat cutter
- OEM specialist tooling

PROUD TO BE SUPPORTING:
I am writing this letter of recommendation to you for the excellent services of your company, Bartech Propulsion, who we employed for a seal change on our vessel the Forth Jouster who was in drydock in Portchester in September 2021. I am confident about the services of Bartech Propulsion who I found to be reliable and thoroughly professional throughout the ships in dry dock. Bartech Propulsion went over and above the work scope provided to you and executed the work in a timely and competent manner. We look forward to working with Bartech Propulsion in the future for our vessel needs.
Robert Begley ~ Briggs Marine Contractors LTD.
Over the last 2 years I have engaged the services of Bartech Propulsion for 4 vessels that I have under my charge as Superintendent of Vessel Manager. The planet has ranged from Niigata propulsion packs (engine, gearbox, thruster pods) to Kongsberg and Schottel ASD and thrusters with steering gears and gearboxes also been maintained. Stefan and his team have consistently supplied great service and standards of work and knowledge across the varied range. With emphasis on workmanship and value for money not reducing standards and deadlines been maintained without question. I have no reservations for recommending their service on any propulsion gearing projects.
