We recently completed a workscope, and during discussions with several of the managers, it became clear that the costs they’re incurring for specialist tooling when engaging with the OEM are extremely high.
As an example, the OEM quoted an additional daily charge of £500 for specialist tooling required to carry out the full overhaul of 6 Thrusters over 3 vessels.
With Bartech Propulsion, however, these costs are included in our daily rate and therefore at no additional cost, offering huge savings to operators.
In this instance, they would have saved £25k.
